If the Finder is not used for about five minutes, it automatically switches to standby mode. This means that the LED light goes off. The Finder switches off the GPS signal but maintains the GSM network. This saves power. However, as soon as the FINDER detects movement again, the transmission mode is automatically switched on again and the device continues to send the location to the portal every 30 seconds.
